Difference between Productivity and Production

Productivity and Production 
Productivity may be  defined as output- input ratio within a given time period and with due consideration for quality of performance. It is a relative term indicating the ratio, between output - input. 
         On the other hand production refers to the value of output and it is an absolute concept.
          In general on increasing Productivity will increases the production and vice - versa.  However this relationship between production and Productivity may not always hold true.  This deposit of increase in Productivity production may decline.
